Heavy is the heart that bares a love for soul no longer here. 

 

When my brother Brian R. Pierre known as Craft to those he loved and loved him in return, passed away on April 17, 2018, my entire world fell apart. 

 

For a better part of the past two years I have been lost, searching for and losing my self over and over again. I lost my way, I lost myself and I lost people in the process of trying to figure out how to live life without the only person who I knew would be by my side until the end. 

 

My accomplishments were based around the many conversations my brother and I had, to inspire and aspire. He taught me that supporting others was the true key to winning. To always remember that everyone has a story and sometimes you have to help others write theirs. 

 

My purpose in life has felt incomplete for the last two years. Questions of how I would continue his legacy and keep his name alive.. kept haunting me. 

 

The “Stay Crafty Scholarship” is about support. It’s about wanting to see others win. It’s about having a “craft” and needing the support of others to see you through. It’s about being young with dreams and losing your support system, because who else is going to make sure you come up for air? 

 

Losing my brother changed my life but realizing the goals of life are bigger than me, woke me up .. I am just a vessel, there are missions I am in charge of. The plan is already written. 

 

To those of you who feel alone.. lost .. Unsupported. There are people out there that want to see you win. I want to see you win. This scholarship is for you.
